Bathed in Light To help disperse light in the newly opened-up interior, the designers clad the roof over the guest bathroom with Danpalon, a translucent polycarbonate that brings in lots of softened natural light. The walls and door are frosted glass. Says Kyprianou: “You can’t see much through the glass—just silhouettes—so our guests don’t mind!” danpalon.com.au Hung Up With the budget running out toward the end of the project, Kyprianou wanted to avoid forking out for a custom-designed walk-in closet in the master bedroom. A peek inside the adjoining master bathroom decorated with Marrakesh Design wall tiles, air plants and exposed copper piping.

The master bathroom continues the minimal black and white aesthetic. A narrow window looks out onto the rear patio.

The bath in the Gooseneck is outfitted with charcoal gray and honey-colored horizontal wood siding.

The wood-clad bathroom features a full shower and custom-made natural stone sink, which was created from a rock found at a neighboring river.

In the master suite bathroom, floor-to-ceiling glass connects the shower to a private side yard.

Rugged concrete stone by Caesarstone forms the bathroom counter and sinks, and hovers over the soaking tub.

Inside, a sunken concrete tub faces a plywood and fiberboard vanity designed by the couple. The sinks are by Domus and the faucets are by Glacier Bay.

The guest bathroom features an organically shaped wooden table, which is suspended on copper and rests against the textured stucco wall.

The architects note: "The materiality of Three Piece House is robust and resilient, as befits a windswept, coastal site. The textures and tones of the house are raw and rugged, and have been deliberately chosen to become more beautiful as they age."
