Three Glowing Lighting Designs from David Rockwell with Rich Brilliant Willing

Marking its first collaboration with an outside firm, Brooklyn-based studio Rich Brilliant Willing has teamed with the eponymous designer of Rockwell Group to create a trio of customizable LED lighting designs. Inspired by stages of the lunar cycle, the wall-mounted Phase sconce takes on a half-spherical form. Half of it shines brightly through cast glass, while the other is coated in a chrome finish to create a more diffuse, subdued glow. It can be installed in varying orientations to direct light in the desired direction.

The geometric, modular Witt lighting system was inspired by the form of traditional chandeliers. Soft, frosted globular lights are placed within a cubic, geometric frame, then hung from slim suspension cables to give the appearance of a dramatic, floating effect.
