When Aeru hosts workshops and events, the shelf rotates flat into the wall to accommodate seating. "The cabinet changes form according to the occasion—it can be used to display products, or it can be used as a desk and bench," states the firm in its description of the concept. "Thus, it allows one to use the shop space freely and flexibly. With this cabinet at its core, this shop reflects the fascination of Japanese craftsmanship."
The Strut Shelving System from Brooklyn–based Souda is inspired by the Manhattan Bridge and the construction methods used for early aircraft carriers. The shelf presents a marriage of modern minimalism and classic architecture construction, as exemplified by the suspension style metal brackets and simple wood plank shelf. The modular system is functional and versatile, making it an ideal choice for both residential and commercial space.

The Belt Series is a minimal collection of objects by Munich-based designer Jessica Nebel, inspired by the language of traditional leather crafts. Combining wood with leather creates a highly functional characteristic and beautiful aesthetic. To be installed, the hanging rack only uses two screws and when not in use, it folds up against the wall. The ladder serves as a shelf or shoe rack. The set-up consists of a typical ladder structure with additional horizontal bars that are held by leather belts.
The powder-coated steel frame of this bookshelf could stand up against oversized hardbacks, magazine backissues, record collections, or any number of combinations of knicks, knacks, bits and bobs, and for those without the floor space it can also be wall-mounted. Featuring a trestle shape, the coat rack includes a base on which to rest shoes and boots, and a connecting bar that can be used to hold hangers or drape scarves and jackets. The result is a balanced piece that is geometric and refined.
