A new bathroom is tucked under the existing stair.
The cozy lower level living space houses the home's second fireplace.
The dining table and chairs are by Charles and Ray Eames. The ceiling, which extends beyond the building’s envelope, is made of Tasmanian oak.

Four rows of narrow “light shelves,” a stylistic signature of Stillwater Dwellings, wrap around a corner wall in the double-height living room. A modular carpet by FLOR covers eucalyptus planks from Cali Bamboo. The leather Violino sofa was purchased at an overstock warehouse.
The main floor is arranged as one long, contiguous space, with a living area and balcony at the front end. An Aulia coffee table by Henk Vos, a pair of red Eames molded plywood chairs, and a Pelican chair by Finn Juhl center the space.
The interior nods to its host structure’s heritage with some walls and the ceiling clad in reclaimed oak from a Kentucky farmhouse. Custom pendants by Mickus Projects hang above a Curzon table from Modloft.
