The whole exterior wall of the kitchen was re-framed to include two glass doors and one extra-long picture window to bring in an abundance of natural light.

The warmth and softness of the wood ceiling is brought down to the cabinets with elegant touches such as the brass island panels, wood counter stools, and wood hardware.

Paired with white, the wood ceiling is no longer an eye sore but a touch of warmth in this subdued and serene kitchen space.

The entrance from the dining room to the kitchen was opened up considerably with an arched expression, creating a much better flow and unifying the two spaces.

The in-ground pool is placed between the primary bedroom and the casita.

The crown jewel of the down stairs bathroom is a custom basalt stone sink sourced from Etsy seller AegeanMarble. Alta Projects was inspired by the stone that’s seen throughout Yosemite National Park, most notably in El Capitan.

The upstairs loft is the perfect balance of work and play with a low platform bunk-bed set up and a full desk that overlooks the living space below.
