Located in in Edmonton, Alberta, the Jasper Place Library certainly stands out as an innovative approach to reimagining what a public library can be. Located on the site of an older library branch, the new building's defining structural feature is a flowing concrete roof. The asymmetrical roof handles the harsh weather conditions by properly draining water from rain and melting snow. On the inside, the open space is a versatile place for the community to meet. HCMA completed the project with the local Edmonton firm Dub Architects.
