Artist Cori Creed stands in the kitchen of the vacation home in rural British Columbia that she and her husband, Craig Cameron, built with their friend and architect, Kevin Vallely. Cori made the ceramic dinnerware and pendants, while Craig built the kitchen island and installed the plywood ceiling with the help of his stepfather.

The floating stainless steel countertop is supported by a steel rod to allow the cabinet underneath to roll in and out.

Simpson retained the original roof trusses and left them exposed as a reminder of the building's industrial heritage. The etched panels recycled from Anderson's former art installation line the ceiling above the trusses.

Large walls of glass frame sea views throughout the building. This view of the open-plan living area looks toward the north; the elevated loft box is to the right, while the rest box is placed a few steps down to the far left, opposite the bedrooms.

Designer Tim Webber created the dining table and stools.

When the sofa is being used as a bed, blackout roller shades can be lowered to turn the living space into a proper sleeping area.
