Hufft chose brick as the primary material for the interiors of Streamline House because of its weight and permanence. Say the designers, "The light color mimics the bright white natural limestone outcroppings of the site, and the face of the brick appears to have been worn away by the conceptual water flow through and around the home."

A cylindrical glass staircase with Western red cedar and painted steel mullions dominates the front of the house. The stair treads, along with the floor, are made of recycled spotted gum.

Now, a cozy family room occupies the first floor. The hearth and floor are the same limestone running throughout, while the Laurel Side Table and Moroso Klara Rocking Chair sit nearby.

The soaking tub is fashioned from the same Elba Dolomite as the vanity for continuity.

A larger eating area is located just steps away from the kitchen. One of the stunning Art Deco pillars stands almost as artwork in the space.

The loft's original open floor plan, 13-foot-tall ceilings, and polished concrete floors remain. A modern, streamlined kitchen is now a central focal point.

The oversized eaves provide protection from the elements and allow one to walk around the entire home in all weathers. Rain chains are used as decorative alternatives to downpipes.
