Northeast Barn Home
The barn was gut renovated and transformed into an open concept home, in which decorative wire mesh was used on the stairway railing and along the perimeter of an airy loft space to contrast the hardwood floors and stairs. The designer for this project turned to Wisconsin-based wire mesh manufacturer, Banker Wire, sourcing their M22-37 wire mesh and U-Edge products to bring this aesthetically appealing project into fruition.
Specified throughout the stairway and airy loft space of the open-concept barn, the wire mesh product was inspired by the rugged look of cattle fences, but maintains a refined aesthetic through its streamlined pattern. Banker Wire’s minimalist mesh provides industrial flair to the home’s more organic exposed wood construction and wide plank hardwood floors. Intended not as a focal point, but rather, as a complementary feature within the home, the products help round out the space and achieve an overall look of streamlined rustic elegance.
