Milan Furniture Fair 2009

Foscarini had an installation at the Superstudio. Designer Vincent Garcia Jimenez wanted to appeal to people’s emotions with optical illusion of lights, video, and shifting shapes and colors, “just like the first time when you’re a kid and you discover the kaleidoscope for the first time.”

Tom Dixon also designed these lights out of Veuve Clicquot boxes. They were beautiful, and undoubtedly much better looking than a collection of old Franzia.

Ceramic Tiles of Italy curated an Italian garden-themed exhibition, with an emphasis on sustainability.  Each installation was a collaboration between different company and designer. TILE inside and Giacomo Sanna joined forces to create this cove-like structure, meant to mirror the inner part of a tree.
