Lanark

The fireplace was redesigned as a piece of sculpture, in order to be more inviting to sit around. It's accompanied by an Onn Pendant by a-emotional light at the ceiling, and a custom wall-mounted shelving unit designed by O-N Architecture, built by Felix Chmiel, and coated in pigments by Linolie & Pigment.

The slatted wall that lines the stairs is echoed by the wall that encloses the sitting room.

Green tiles bring a splash of color to the powder room; the countertop and sink are concrete.

Artemide Dioscuri Wall Globe sconces were used in all three of the home's bathrooms.

Pental tiles surround the tub and line the shelf in the ensuite.

The T&G fine line exterior siding was stained a custom color.

Missoni towels coordinate with the motif in the bathroom, which has original tile work.

Architects Bertil Harström and Johan Kauppi conceived of the idea for the Arctic Bath hotel in Swedish Lapland.

Arctic Bath’s logjam-like design takes inspiration from the old practice of transporting felled trees by river. The rounded structure floats on Sweden’s Lule River during summer and freezes into its surface in winter.
