A band of windows wraps around the kitchen to bring the outdoors into the kitchen, which is outfitted with Piacere equipment.

Porter designed the custom party server with blackened steel boxes and brightly lacquered and wood doors. The top cabinet attaches to the wall and stores glassware, while the base cabinet, complete with inlay cutting board, can swing out and serve as a free-standing bar for parties. "It’s a little bit of a Swiss army knife," says Porter.

SHED added oversized sliding glass doors which allow for indoor/outdoor living during the warmer months, while new wood cabinetry establishes a clean, minimalist aesthetic, and an oversized, marble-topped island with a table extension provides room to cook, eat, and entertain. Oversized sliding doors open to the expansive deck, while skylights fill the space with natural light—a necessity with Seattle's gray winter skies.

The updated kitchen contains teak cabinetry, a large center island, a prep sink, plenty of storage, and Thermador appliances.
