The chimney is clad in stone, with a fireplace on each floor, and can be seen through the large skylight in this living space.

Originally built in the 1960s, this light-filled property underwent a complete program of renovation and extension. A modern fireplace was clad with natural stone to complement the oak ceiling.

The high-ceilinged living space is designed for comfortable entertaining and features light wood paneling, a marble-framed fireplace, and an elegant bar off to the side.

Accordion doors open up all the way allowing indoor and outdoor spaces to flow seamlessly. Inside, the Andy Sofa by B&B Italia and Capo longe chair by Neri & Hu for De La Espada offers a space to cozy up to the Island Stone Temple Lava fireplace. An Imari rug by RH and vintage coffee table tie the room together.

Park City Design + Build created this indoor/outdoor, energy-efficient home for a Danish interior designer and her family.

A plastered fireplace column acts as a divider between the living spaces and the single bedroom.

In addition to Wolf and Sub-Zero appliances, the kitchen features an on-demand hot water recirculation pump that reduces wasteful water heating. Schwinn cabinet pulls adorn the custom cabinetry and the K7 faucet is from Grohe.

Blu Dot stools line up against calacatta gold extra countertops. The custom cabinetry was outfitted by Semihandmade with Ikea cabinet bodies.

A soaring, wood-beamed atrium is an unexpected surprise upon entering the home. The renovated kitchen features a large marble island that visually grounds the space.

The Raskinds designed an open-concept kitchen with midcentury charm using Dunn Edwards paint in Deepest Sea and West Elm light fixtures. They replaced the original cabinetry with Semihandmade cabinetry, and built an island with a white-and-black marble slab from Stoneville. "We found this great panda-colored slab and knew we wanted to do a waterfall island to elevate the look of the IKEA doors," she says.

The use of natural materials, such as the combination of stone and wood, evokes casual luxury that is also very livable.
