The guest bathroom—one of Leah’s favorite rooms—features a custom walnut vanity, and cement “Bateau Everglade” tile from Zia Tile. “I was a little nervous to go with such a bold patterned tile, but I couldn't be more obsessed with how it turned out,” she says.

A simple, hardscaped back patio is the site of many summer parties. The steps lead down to the firepit, where one feels increasingly embraced by the forest.

The douglas fir ceilings and terrazzo flooring underwent treatment to bring them back to their original condition.

In the primary bath, which includes the home’s only indoor shower, Lachapelle used plumbing fixtures and hardware with an oil-rubbed bronze finish that relate to the touches of black in the living space. The wood dowel and leather triangle towel holders are from Schoolhouse.

During the renovation, they discovered a window on the north side of the kitchen and built some shelving in front of it to enjoy storage while still letting the light in.

Ogawa Green Tile by Heath Ceramics covers the walls and floors. When the couple's existing tile stash wasn't enough coverage, the team was able to special order more to match.

Rough-cut cedar is a staple of the home, found across the two floors.

The bathtub faces a Spanish-cedar-framed window overlooking the back deck. Once the outside plants have grown up enough to provide privacy, the adhesive film on the window will be removed.

The master bathroom is the only spot in the home that features actual hardware. Simon went with a rich blue-green tone for the double vanity and Colton wall sconces from Y Lighting.

My boys’ bathroom is one of my faves, as I love the color of the blue cabinets. And no, it rarely looks this pristine.

The wall opens up over the vanity so that there are views into the bedroom and backyard.
