Named the Quarry House, this striking, bluestone-clad dwelling has been designed by creative architecture studio Finnis Architects in collaboration with interior designer Carmel Iudica. The kitchen of Quarry House is tucked under the living spaces above and wrapped in a warm wood finish.

Tom Dixon pendant lamps hang above a steel-and-marble dining table by Chris Connell topped by Kate Hume vases and surrounded by painted Thonet chairs. The wood-veneer cabinetry in the adjacent kitchen complements the rich Grigio Carnico marble on the island and backsplash. “The kitchen has a deliberately dark palette,” James says.

In the kitchen, a custom composite dining table is paired with bright plastic Ikea chairs. Crasset’s Evolute pendant lights for Danese Milano, with origami-esque folded shades in maple veneer, hang above.

Here, the washbasin is by Ceramica Globo, the Life taps are by Bellosta, and the wall lamp is by Lampe Gras (DCW Editions). The mirror has been customized for this home.

In the bathroom, the resin is by Rezina.

In this room, the wallpaper is by Svenskt Tenn, and the table lamp is by Servomuto.

Here is a look at a rattan headboard by Maison du Monde, and a metallic frame wardrobe designed by Marcante-Testa, with a curtain by Kvadrat. The Suzie pedant lamp is by Colonel.

In the bathroom there is a lacquered MDF, metal, and glass cabinet, which has also been designed by Marcante-Testa.
