The gallery/living area is a flexible room with only two fixed pieces: a 26-foot-long stainless-steel kitchen counter and a long, off-white table that runs along the opposite wall. In the private section behind the wood partition, the bedroom and bathroom are merged. The bed, bathtub, and sink become loose elements within the room, while a shower, walk-in-closet, and toilet are placed at the core.

Over the years, Lui and Reschke have discovered design solutions that also save money. Here in the loft, a store-bought material palette coalesces to create a refined living space.

Perched high above a ravine in rural Virginia, Riverledge is an early showcase of the panelized building system pioneered by architect Charlie Lazor.

The primary suite is located at the far end of the home and features direct access to the wraparound balcony. Dark hardwood floors complement the room's neutral palette.

Each of the apartments offer intimate indoor-outdoor living via spacious private terraces.

The mezzanine can easily be transformed into a guest room thanks to the sofa bed and the small adjoining bathroom.

The new mezzanine’s envelope responds to the climate in Quebec. It’s designed to offer the highest thermal insulation performance to effectively reduce heat loss during the wintertime.

The floors, walls, and ceiling of the mezzanine are all clad in clear-coated fir plywood panels. To respect Montreal city bylaws, the mezzanine was limited to 40% of the area of the level below.

The project celebrates local Norwegian craft and materials. The living room holds an Outline sofa by Norwegian designers Anderssen & Voll for Muuto.

The living, dining, and cooking spaces are located in the central volume. The open concept provides plenty of space for family gatherings and entertaining. A walkway doubles as bench seating for the large dining table.

As with all Cover projects, Leslie’s home features floor-to-ceiling windows, Wolf-Sub Zero appliances, integrated storage, and minimalist track lighting. The open-plan living areas are arranged axially toward views of the valley.
