The paint colors adhere to Le Corbusier’s original selections, available from Les Couleurs, with the cylindrical wall entrance covered in a saturated Rouge Vermillon.

“The colors reference places we love in Copenhagen,” says Di Domenico. Apollo Bar and the SMK Museum cafeteria are two points of inspiration.

Sugarhouse Design & Architecture lightened up the entry hall, thanks to interior fluted glass panels, white oak floors with a contrasting walnut inlay, and custom oak closets that reach to the ceiling (after removing the fussy tray feature there). The bench is custom-designed by Sugarhouse and fabricated by Elwood Design Co in Orange, CA, and the ceiling light is by Modern Forms.

A stripe of tomato-colored paint (mixed from two shades of red) sets the energizing mood that Malak envisioned for the bedroom, which is made up of mostly Ikea and secondhand furniture. A wall of cabinetry to the right clears up the rest of the space for unobstructed movement.
