Innovations from the 2014 International CES Part Two
Here is a quick roundup from days two and three of our roaming the floor at the 2014 International CES in Las Vegas.
Among the more interesting wireless speakers being demonstrated this year at CES is the OD-11 by Teenage Engineering. Based on the Carlsson OD-11 designed by the Swedish engineer Stig Carlsson and introduced in 1974, this 100-watt model is WiFi- and Bluetooth-equipped. The circular remote has a magnetic backing and can hang on the fridge or sit atop the speaker itself. Photo courtesy of Teenage Engineering.
The Jumpr Stack By EnerPlex is a pack of three thin batteries capable of boosting the juice in most smartphones by 90 percent or more. Plug in the bottom battery, and the charge rises through the stack. The idea is that the batteries can be charged, then distributed among the members of a busy family. Photo courtesy of EnerPlex.
Loop is a new wireless speaker by Libratone, which says it delivers 360-degree sound from behind its striking Italian-wool cover (available in eight colors). Set on a stand (included), or mount to a wall, it provides a decorative accent while filling the room with your favorite tunes. Photo courtesy of Libratone.
