Arthur Dyson designed the flowing, glass-and-steel Lapp RiverHouse for a placid site on the banks of the Kings River near Fresno, California.
Arthur Dyson included features such as double-paned windows, overhangs, and passive cooling in an effort to make the home sustainable.
The home aims to connect with the surrounding landscape using soaring windows and double-height ceilings.
Twenty minutes outside Fresno, Sanger, California is situated at the base of the Sierra Nevada Mountains.
Populus, opened in October 2024, was designed by award-winning firm Studio Gang and developed by Urban Villages.
“We’re always throwing events,” says Paul, so the indoor/outdoor style was a great fit for them.
The newly renovated apartment has a kitchen wrapped in mesh, a mirrored bathroom door, and a stainless steel shower curtain.
