Homes Featuring Luminous Chandeliers

The interior consists of five different levels, all linked by a steel-and-wood staircase. Carbone sourced the chandelier from a local shop.

The space was reoriented in order to accommodate a third bedroom for the residents' second child. The adjustment required reducing the size of one of the existing bedrooms and relocating the kitchen, which now is an open-plan space next to the living room. A Major Crown chandelier by Nemo hangs above a Zeus-Noto table and Kartell chairs.

When midcentury enthusiast Margaret Riley bought an unispired ranch home in Los Angeles, she commissioned Cory Buckner to renovate it in the image of nearby architectural masterpieces. In the dining room, a glamorous 1970s chandelier hangs over a walnut table lined with Saarinen chairs.

With Control4 automation, everything from music to lighting can be managed with the tap of a touchscreen. The Casalis balanced their home’s high-tech features with rich materials including a marble backsplash by Ciot, a wood table from Kantelberg + Co., and quartz countertops by Caesarstone. The casual dining area features Kartell Masters chairs and an airy Triumph chandelier by Eurofase.

Hollis designed the kitchen--which features a Boffi kitchen system and Gaggenau appliances-- as three zones. The first centers around the stainless-steel-and-Zodiac-stone island, which is topped by a custom beaded chandelier by South African company TeamTwo Design.
