"We wanted to keep the exterior walls uncluttered, so you can focus on the views, the light, and the air," says Rosa Garneau, the owner of a 650-square-foot co-op in New York's Chelsea neighborhood. To achieve a clean look, everything gets tucked away, including the mattress and bedding. When looking for the best Murphy bed, look for one that can accommodate basic bedding without having to remove and store it daily.

Clerestory windows by Marvin bring plenty of light into the master bathroom. The tiles are by Bisazza and the fixtures are by CEA Design. White Corian surfaces complement the custom walnut cabinetry by Turkel Design.

The primary suite presents a soothing retreat to rest and unwind, complete with a spacious bath, walk-in closet, and black-framed, sliding glass doors that open up to the pool.

Redone with tranquility and escape in mind, the primary suite bathroom feels spa-like with a wash of Bedrodsians Magnifica Calacatta in super white.

The dining table was custom built from walnut by furniture maker John Lightfoot Greiner.
