The Two-Block basket is one of the latest in a series of baskets utilizing the density of the stitching to create embroidery-like designs on the basket surface. It's made from #6 100 percent cotton cord that is coiled and stitched with sewing thread. The resulting textile is flexible but stiff enough to hold its shape.
This set includes: The Pastures of Heaven, To a God Unknown, Tortilla Flat, In Dubious Battle, Of Mice and Men, The Long Valley, The Grapes of Wrath, The Log from the Sea of Cortez, The Harvest Gypsies, The Moon is Down, Cannery Row, The Pearl, East of Eden, The Wayward Bus, Burning Bright, Sweet Thursday, The Winter of our Discontent, and Travels with Charley in Search of America.
The Formas I pillow was inspired by 'organic geometry.' Slightly imperfect geometric forms in cool grey, pale peaches and a midnight blue make this pillow easy to incorporate into any room. The Formas series was designed to play nicely with their shaggy siblings. Pile 'em on the bed or couch. Handwoven by skilled artisans in Totonicapan, Guatemala.
