From beautiful carriage doors to stainless steel cabinets and antique memorabilia neon signs, Portland-based company Vault designs gorgeous spaces

On a side wall, sleek barn doors open to reveal a storage area for bikes. Stairs near the garage entrance, which features a door from Renlita, lead to a vaulted loft that was originally intended as an exercise room but is now used by Rakesh as an office.

A double bed folds down in the workshop, providing an additional place for guests to sleep.

Doors made from FSC-certified wood and custom pivoting windows appear throughout the house, including in the garage (as pictured).

A Cor-Ten steel planter running along one side is filled with Carex Ice Dance. “The plantings are minimalist, yet rich in color and texture,” says landscape architect H. Keith Wagner. The wood planters on the top level were custom designed by Kelton Woodwork.

The driveway concrete is colored with exposed aggregate river pebbles so that it matches the soil.
