Way to make my heart go pitter-patter. The Guggenheim announced on Twitter a few days ago that American scultor Alexander Calder's 1964 retro catalogue was readily available to view online. With 108 pages of interesting insights and beautiful photos of both personal and of his work, it's a definite must for anyone. As former Guggenheim museum director Thomas Messer once said, "Calder, it must be remembered, did not invent motion but rather found a place for it in the expressive vocabulary of art.
