This Risom coffee table was from the company's executive office catalog but fits perfectly in a residential TV room setting.

In Scandinavian regions, traditional cabins are painted black using a mixture of tar and linseed oil. Peck reproduced the look using corrugated metal—a lower-maintenance, more sustainable material. “We love that it is black, because it really reminds us of home,” Bronee says. The house has no windows on its front side, belying its light-flooded interior.

“It would seem that the circle could easily be seen as a very stubborn form. But in this case, I love how it is a natural form to organize this path—to achieve this narrative,” says architect Derek Dellekamp.

This painting was just intended to be a placeholder in the mock up, but the homeowners loved it so much they commissioned an identical one.
