The fire pit is Christie's favorite spot. A nearby path through the ravine leads down to the river, where they swim and tube in the summer. She's named the River View Hutte, in homage to her German heritage grandparents who originally bought the land.

Scalar Architecture placed the cabin on conrete piers to minimize its ecological impact on the surrounding landscape.

In line with Grace’s desire to embrace nature, the aluminum hull of the Airstream doesn’t detract for its surroundings—its reflective nature allows it to blend right into the landscape wherever the couple parks it.
