Post-and-beam construction continues into each of the home's five bedrooms. The primary suite includes a fully remodeled bath—another space with a large skylight.

On the other side of the kitchen is another light-filled living area, featuring original built-ins.

The den off the kitchen was set up for cozy TV nights, with an inky-toned accent wall, custom curtains by a local maker, and a comfortable sectional.

A result of a small gap between appliances, the Vertical Bar Block has since become a signature example of how Henrybuilt systems are architecturally integrated to maximize every bit of usable space.

An IKEA floating vanity with storage is the ultimate space saver, surrounded by clean accents including Cle Tile, a Rejuvenation Mirror, and Cedar and Moss sconce.

"Our primary closet measures just three feet by six feet, so we worked with California Closets to install floor to ceiling shelves that could store and display our entire wardrobes. We also added vertical storage to our daughter’s closet which enabled us to tuck away our luggage and sentimental items safely out of sight. Instead of feeling cramped, or space challenged, we are thrilled with how perfectly everything fits, and how streamlined our space feels."

Alongside the dining area, woven leather stools by Saffron and Poe offer added seating at the kitchen counter.

Wood-beamed ceilings continue into each of the two bedrooms.

All of the new flooring is engineered hardwood. Tiffany didn’t like how high the ceilings felt, so she painted a green arch behind the bed to improve the scale. The arch also repeats in a lot of the furnishings, from the Alky chairs to the dining room table.

Outside of wonderful natural lighting, the living room is warmly lit by antique wall sconces and a large brick fireplace.

The twisted “Segal Staircase” (“It’s almost like a ladder that spins around,” explains Jo)—a signature element in the neighborhoods’ homes—got a fresh look, with panelling in front of each stair and stabilizing poles. It also received a striking coat of turquoise paint. “I can’t remember the Pantone color, but needless to say there was a big argument about it for six months,” laughs Jo. “I guess I won.”

Erica and her mom enjoy cooking together, and this kitchen makes that easy to do so, with an expanded footprint, leathered quartzite counters, and custom white oak cabinetry. Shoe storage was built-in by the exterior door, with a slim cupboard for cleaning supplies.

The new deck lets the owners glory in the incredible views.
