“There’s no right answer except to play and experiment,” Adler says about furnishing the interior. He reupholstered vintage Warren Platner chairs with velvet from Kravet. Drawings by Eva Hesse inspired the custom ceramic wall tile. Adler also created the coffee table, rug, planters, and gold stool. After an update, the dining room dry bar is party ready. The floors and brown woodwork are original. The ceiling and crown molding are painted White Opulence in a flat finish.

A contrast wall in a soft brown plaster anchors the serene master bedroom.

The fireplace had a faux stone facade under the mantel, which Lunt replaced with Heath Ceramics bowtie tile in a soft brown hue.

The maple wall and hidden door lend warmth and texture and hide the primary bedroom so that it remains privacy.
