Originally the floor plan had the door to the bathroom tucked over to one side to make way for a stationery bed. Perpetually Devastated reconfigured the layout for more comfortable access by changing the bed into a slide-out design, with a clever nesting headboard that expands and contracts along with the mattress.
Street-facing elevation showing flat lot in front, steep hillside behind. East Coast shingle style exterior detailing. Main entry/front door between twin chimneys with Master Suite to right and one kids bed above, and 3 kids bedrooms to left above and kitchen, dining, living below. Stone patio extends all along front elevation with outdoor kitchen on left and exterior eating in front of arched dining bay.
Front seen from lake access. Note stone wainscot detailing that extends around house and deck into grade. Very tricky to create this look and meet code concerns for waterproofing and ventilation. Log railings. Classic dormers at each upstairs bedroom. This project was designed when the architect was the Senior Design Associate at Polsky Architects in Larkspur, CA
