Joel designed and built the wall-mounted vanity base to fit the rounded shape of the marble sink surround, which the couple found years ago on their first visit to Hudson. The apron is fashioned from a reeded oak tambour panel. The wallpaper is Kelly Wearstler for Lee Jofa, joined by a Lulu and Georgia mirror and Eny Lee Parker sconce.
The Artemis wallpaper by House of Hackney ($325/roll) guided the ensuing color palette. “I picked a really bold, dramatic print for the bathroom intentionally, and then kept everything else, from the floor to the shower tile, monochromatic,” says Blum. The Black Concrete Sink was custom from Voglio Bathroom Sinks ( $455) and combined with another custom living brass faucet from Brassna.
To the kitchen, Blum added seating via bar stools and a peninsula wrapped in Midnight Corvo Quartz. Since electrical wires can’t be tucked behind the wood walls in an A-frame, Blum installed a Kichler Azores sconce from Build with Ferguson ($299.99 per light) to the beam, put the wire in the thinnest channel they could find, and painted it to match the wood.
