In the kitchen, the concrete flooring cracked near the patio door and was filled with a kintsugi detail.

In many of the home's corners, cracks appeared in the new concrete flooring once it was poured, including in this spot in the living room. Tajima and Bradley filled the cracks with grout and then gilded each of those grout lines to give the look and feel of kintsugi.

“The bedroom is without a doubt my happy place,” Adam says.

A custom metal mesh balustrade wraps around the staircase to give it the spiral feel the owners were looking for. The timber was resurfaced to get it looking good as new.

Architect Jane Caught designed this hall stand for the entry way, using coloured steel to echo the copper tones used throughout the house.
