The side entrance is located off a lane and marked with a mural painted by Alex Scott Douglas. “All the neighbors know that when you visit, you go down the lane,” said the firm.
The renovated home takes advantage of its vaulted ceiling and newly open plan to create one big inviting space for Brandon, Katy, Scout and the kids.
Before: The front door opened directly into the dated kitchen, creating a lot of dead space within the room.
“We take houses built in the ’70s, ’80s, or ’90s, and we make them look like the 1870s or 1880s or 1890s,” explains Jack Alessio Pretto of Retroject Projects.
