The kitchen of a graphic designer couple in London uses the floor as a ground (no pun intended) for all of the fun colors that ornament the kitchen.

The results included Sebastijan Jemec & Georgia McGovern’s beaded car seat cover strung on a wooden frame, Chen Chen & Kai Williams’s beautifully unstable bungee cord contraption (titled Pineal Lobotomy), Nifemi Ogunro’s semi-deconstructed wooden chair with an oven-rack back, and Isabel Rower referencing that cardboard chair with her own take on packaging-turned-seat.

To make the living area feel much more open and comfortable, the architects created minmal service areas are hidden when the batipin-plwood panels are closed.

Hidden storage and flexible living are prioritized in this modern apartment of just 500 square feet in Taipei. Clever space-saving strategies and smart style choices by Taiwanese firm KC Design Studio created a chic, multifunctional home. The pegboard wall makes it easy for client Mr. Xiao to reorganize whenever needed. Anchoring the office is a chic Paulistano lounge chair by Objekto in the corner.

The dining table is easy to pop out and put away - creating both a specific space dedicated to dining and more room to walk around when it's not in use.

Monica’s side is more static so she can organize her drawings and work supplies.

Flansburgh's office and study still contain his original built-in desks and shelving.
