The original kitchen layout was kept, as were the Shaker cabinets. Pruskin Hardware supplied the new pulls and knobs.
In the kitchen, quartzite kitchen island countertops and a wall of off-white ceramic tile complement the walnut cabinetry and brass surfaces.
The team added a new deck and larger windows and doors to the garden level unit.

The owners wanted a gabled roof, which can be seen at the front, and a cross-like layout allows them to maximize space, light, and views.
The living room was kept the same, and existing oak floors refinished.

Custom cabinetry creates entry storage, and wasn’t brought up to the ceiling, so as to appear floating and allow more natural light to spread. The custom metal fabrication is by Michael Northrup, including a powder coated railing and entry shelf.

The slat wall treatment is continued, with the powder-coated metal railing “creating a different language,” says Gregga. Adds Sean: The railing “has such a good feel in your hand.”
