Glass walls allow light to filter through all spaces in the floor plan. Continuous wood flooring blends from room to room, creating a coherent space.

The sofa and coffee table are crafted from 40mm-thick Douglas fir, which is characterised by its subtle pink tones.

Mike and Jewlsy designed the furniture both to fit into the apartment and to work in any future home they may have. The sofa, for example, is designed to work as a corner sofa in its current location, but could also be split into two pieces in a different context.

“I wanted the main focal point to be the outside,” says Castillero. “By minimizing what’s inside, even the slope of the roof makes you turn and look outside.”
