The master bathroom features terracotta wall tiles from Tabarka, round mirrors from CB2, and faucets from Kohler. The vanity was made by Wedgewood, a local company.

Accessible via a private entrance from the patio, the home office provides a quiet and spacious space for working—complete with a built-in desk and expansive windows for ample sunlight.

The stylish principal bathroom continues with walnut cabinetry and also features a brass vanity and steel shower door.

Located on the eastern side of Sydney, near some of the city's famous beaches, this opulent home juxtaposes an exposed concrete structure with steel windows and doors, as well as walnut paneling throughout. A small courtyard contains a parking space near the main entry.

The bathroom floor is grey porcelain, equipped with radiant heating. A cedar wall adds a different kind of warmth to the space.

Ikea Pax cupboards are banked in the entryway, with birch-panel doors. A carpenter friend made the bench in the entryway; another friend painted it. Dark slate flooring in the entryway gives way to maple in the rest of the home, a beautiful contrast of materials.

The new structural support at the island is a slim intervention that enabled the firm to open up the kitchen to the rest of the home.

The half-wall makes furniture arrangement in the living room a bit easier, as a couch can be placed against it to create a conversation area near the preserved window seat.

In the living room, a large built-in sectional with integrated storage frees up floor space and can accommodate more people than freestanding furniture, which would chop up the interior.

A custom cabinet in the ground-floor playroom provides a variety of storage options. “The biggest frustration of parents is that the toys are everywhere,” says Eva. “I always try to create a kids’ corner as well as some space for the parents. And of course enough storage options and a logical layout of the house will help to make a home child friendly.”
