The millwork hides the bed and desk, but it also conceals the air conditioner. “Everything is integrated,” says Losada-Amor. “That’s what keeps it clean.” Even the garage door mechanism is hidden here.

Thomas’ favorite space—and what attracted him to the home in the first place—is the large studio that was used by Locher as an art studio and has been converted into a living room. “There’s a big, beautiful window and it is clearly one of the house's greatest features,” he explains.

It was important to Thomas that the property could be shared with friends and family, and there are enough bedrooms to comfortably sleep up to 12 guests.
