A new powder room features simple, natural materials that tie in with the rest of the house—a wood counter, wood knobs, and neutral-hued Sugie mosaic tiles from Artedomus.

The bathroom was outfitted with a custom sink optimized for the tiny space.

The bathrooms feature a clean, minimal blue-and-white palette, with a focus on durable, functional materials.

Playful wallpaper from Graham & Brown livens up the house’s otherwise staid powder room, which also contains a pint-size Ikea sink.

"The client wanted nook for the speakers and a desk," explains Gerlier. Adding that in order to use the computer nook as a desk, it is necessary to open the set of doors underneath. Gerlier also added an additional oversized nook that serves as a comfortable reading nook.

Gerlier chose to recycle the original Ikea kitchen by simply repainting the laminate fronts bright yellow and adding a wood countertop. The sunny shade was chosen to brighten the space and "add cheerfulness to a sometimes very dark room".

The unit is 3.5 meters long and 2.4 meters tall, and is a chic focal point in the room.

An arc motif is a recurring theme throughout the kitchen's design.

“It takes a particular type of person to want to live here because it is slightly isolated from the city,” says Anna. “But that also invites a lot of creative possibilities.”

Out on an upper-level terrace, a skylight in the floor brings daylight into the mudroom below.

A rich color palette of deep hazel and cocoa tones offset the bright lime wash kitchen splash back and original stone wall.

Now, a picture window frames the views into the garden, and a tall glass and steel door accesses the backyard.

Color-blocked cabinets include a tall, pale pink door that discretely hides the cat's litter box.
