Pablo built the new addition into the slope in front of the house to blend it with the surrounding landscape. At the back of the property sits a greenhouse and a garage, the latter of which has solar panels on the roof.

The home strives for energy efficacy, utilizing passive architecture principles.

Entire walls fold away to further blur the distinction between indoors and out. The yellow Togo seating is from Ligne Roset.

“The home unfolds to look at itself,” says Câpâ architect Juan Pablo Ramos.

During the renovation, workers uncovered frescoes painted on the walls, and the couple decided to leave portions of them uncovered.

Tiles were an important component of this project: $15,000 was spent on tilework throughout the two phases.
