There’s now a storage locker for each member of the family. They sit atop a platform made of stained oak, like the kitchen island. The cabinet maker customized the molding detail to match the width of the pulls.

Beetle Dining Chairs by GamFratesi for Gubi flank a Tobi-Ishi T240R dining table by Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby for B&B Italia. An Ombre Knotted Wool rug by Rosemary Hallgarten sits underneath the table while a Myriad Long Chandelier by Gabriel Scott hangs above.

The floor in the dining room—which extends out to the entrance courtyard—is made of recycled terra-cotta roof tiles sourced by Gather & Co. and laid in a herringbone pattern. The dining room features a Butterworth table by Lowe Furniture and Mathilda chairs by Patricia Urquiola for Moroso.

The elegant kitchen cabinetry was built with oil-treated oak on a birch interior structure. The backsplash is Confiserie Blush Chevron Mosaic by Claybrook, and the wall lights are Brass Cylinder Lamps by Dyke and Dean.

The cooktop is by Wolf and the oven, hood, and dishwasher are by Bosch.

The brass backsplash was a risky experiment carried off by Natalie, who started with unlacquered 4x8 foot sheets, then gave them patina by covering them in vinegar, ketchup, and salt, and leaving them out in the sun. The resulting pattern was aligned as carefully as possible, and the surface sealed. “We just had to essentially cut the topography into a way that felt really great,” says Natalie.

The former sunroom, now a guest room, has a 1970s armchair by Bruno Rey.
