There’s more concealed storage in the bathroom, this time clad in wooden tile so it blends in with the wall treatment. The flooring is terrazzo tile.

Prerak and Krina wanted to be able to open the room to guests when hosting parties, so the window installation functions as both storage and additional seating.

Custom furniture sits atop an Ikea rug. The custom fluted glass door opens to the hallway running through the house.

“As much as it’s practical, it’s also a very good-looking thing: a sculpture piece. I call it the jewel on the side,” says Noguera of the unique skylight here.

A table by Seattle studio Chadhaus complements the home's existing oak floors and cedar walls.

Architect Nahoko Ueda and the homeowners chose a Space Theory kitchen with a combination of white laminate and walnut cabinetry.

Aside from skylights and blackened exterior cladding, other standard addons that Madeiguincho offers include cork insulation; awnings, shutters, blinds, and mosquito nets; and access stairs.

Like in many of Madeiguincho's tiny homes, the bathroom at the end of the unit can be accessed directly from outside and so can double as a mudroom.

Madeiguincho's founder Gonçalo Marrote has spent a large part of his career designing and making furniture. Even though the studio's focus now centers on structures, their interest in fine carpentry persists in bespoke pieces like the table and L-shaped bench.

Unlike other tiny home builders, Madeiguincho does not have a lineup of off-the-shelf designs. Differences in base pricing are determined by the length of the home: €53K for the 13-foot-long trailer and €68K for the 23-foot-long home.

The shutters for the skylight above the bed can be opened or closed by hand, but a pole is required for those on the living room ceiling.

Consistent with their offer to customize the interiors of their models, Paradise Tiny Homes also gives buyers the choice of preparing their homes to be self-sufficient or suitable off grid. If a client opts for this route, suggested changes include switching from electric to propane appliances, including an incinerating or composting toilet, and equipping the home with a blackwater tank.

Priced at $225K, the 290-square-foot Paradise model is a larger, more flexible version of the Oasis. The addition of a loft is optional, and the extra room attached to the end of the unit can be made into an enclosed bedroom or a second bath.

Rungs built into the wall of the bay window provide access to the smaller loft.

The interior features two lofts: an 8'x10' platform with the main bed and a 8'x4' area often used for reflective recreation.

Slightly cheaper at $209K

The bar placed between the halves of the half-moon windows is made of mango wood: an example of a bespoke riff on the original Oasis design.

Pictured here and in the top image, the Oasis model features wide kitchen windows installed over long bars made of mango wood. They open out onto a porch, making it easier to use as an outdoor dining space.

The entryway separates the living area from the kitchen, the bathroom beyond it, and the lofted bedroom above. While this layout is fixed, Paradise Tiny Homes offers to change almost everything else about the home's interior.
