The previously tiny bathroom expanded into what was formerly the pantry space. The walls are coated in Benjamin Moore's Antique White. Glazed porcelain tiles from Home Depot cover the floor, and ceramic Montauk Sand Dune tiles from TileBar clad the shower.

Two complementary lighting fixtures from New Hampshire Antiques co-op hang in the kitchen. "One of my good friends from college was getting married in New Hampshire, and he mentioned an antique store down the street. We probably spent three hours in there,

Light woods were used prominently throughout the house, including the bedrooms. The Rosalita Pendant from Anthropologie matches the Garfield nightstands from Hedgehouse Furniture.

The bathroom has custom walnut shutters that fit flush into the wall panels.

In a nod to the "old meets new

The kitchen flooring is 24” x 24” DalTile Chadwick Charcoal Tile and the wall tile is by Heath Ceramics.

The brass backsplash was a risky experiment carried off by Natalie, who started with unlacquered 4x8 foot sheets, then gave them patina by covering them in vinegar, ketchup, and salt, and leaving them out in the sun. The resulting pattern was aligned as carefully as possible, and the surface sealed. “We just had to essentially cut the topography into a way that felt really great,” says Natalie.

A Blu Dot table is surrounded by custom made stools by Dan Druley Craftsman. A Dolomite slab, Enigma in 3cm, covers the counters. The overhead light is Roll and Hill Fiddlehead Cantilever.

Before: The entry was confined to a narrow stairway and hall, with a “hidey hole” for the dog.

Throughout the house, the architects oriented windows to capture views of the large oak trees on the property.
