The drop ceiling was removed to make the kitchen feel larger, and Troy RLM kitchen lights were installed above it.

The perfectly proportioned corner kitchen incorporates a striking contrast of warm and cool tones — and can be further customized if desired. “Since we produce the models for each customer, we can allow customization both with the layout and the materials,” says ​​iOhouse Sales Manager Heliis Tiitma. “If there is no need for a kitchen, we can skip it and turn it to something else.”

André placed a vintage Hans Wegner chair in the study, next to cabinets and a round rug, both designed by him. The ceiling lamp is from Atelier Oï, and the black vase is from Zwiesel Kristallglas.

The couple planned out all of the exterior landscaping themselves. "[It was] painstaking, the time spent measuring," says Emily.

The backsplash and counters are Caesarstone, and a floating white oak shelf was positioned flush with the hood vent for a cleaner look.

The pair borrowed a little space on the front porch and expanded the kitchen into the breakfast nook, so the sink now looks out on the front yard and old olive tree.

The entrance is through an enclosed courtyard, which features ipe (Brazilian walnut) timber fencing with an exposed painted steel structure topped with planters. The living room is visible through a glazed corner.

Cle tiles, a Duravit sink, and Vola fixtures were used in one of three bathrooms.

The kitchen now has new access to the rear yard. The counters are Calacatta marble, and Catherine specified them to be flush with the cabinet faces, with a sleek reveal providing a little extra detail.

The living area consists of plenty of layering with Saffron and Poe nesting teak tables and coffee table basket tray. A West elm sofa and a Jens Rise Lounge Chair from Design Within Reach serves as anchors over a Saffron and Poe hand-knotted wool rug. Accents include Schoolhouse surface mount lights, a CB2 swivel wall lamp, and midcentury art prints from Printable Studio.

Fin cladding defines the exterior of the house.
