The corner library takes color inspiration from the facade.

Upstairs is a show-stopping oversize bathroom. “When I chose the tile, I was afraid I was going to get sick of it,” says homeowner Melina Polly, “but I do love it. It makes me happy every time I walk in there.” The tiles are Fez by Granada Tile, the sinks are from Kohler, and the faucets are from Newport Brass.

A couple with kids imbued a duplex with the spirit of adventure by including a slide, a climbing wall, a cargo net, and swings.

Geometric tiles cover the existing front steps in the covered parking spot.

A screen divides an entry porch from the first of several private courtyards and outdoor areas. The home is clad in ebony-stained cedar siding, which contrasts with mahogany casework.

With its driveway to the north, the home faces west toward the Pacific, with its courtyard breaking up the house's mass.

The hallway tiles are by Domus.

The tiles in the upstairs bathroom are Memory of Cerim from Florim.

The facade was made by local craftsmen, and all of the shutters are custom made.
