To furnish the home, the pair relied on pieces they already had, like a black-and-white table by Superstudio that Jeremy found abandoned on New York’s Lower East Side, and sourced pieces secondhand, like black Spaghetti chairs by Giandomenico Belotti for Fly Line that surround a LC6 table on the patio.

From the outside, the screen reveals an earthy patina that is in natural dialogue with the wine silo.

“The house is a piece of origami made out of triangular shapes, which we then draped over the landscape,” says Arbel.

Linda Taalman and Alan Koch built a home by Joshua Tree National Park, where temperatures can span from 32 degrees to over 100. The two opted for a glass enclosure with raw industrial style and green design that allowed them to live lightly on the land. iT House has floor-to-ceiling windows to take in the landscape, a suspended fireplace by Fire Orb for cold nights, and an abundance of spaces that open up to the outdoors.

The guesthouse has similar built-ins and is outfitted with a reproduction rotating sconce by Serge Mouille and rugs by Stephanie Odegard.
