Since the owner wanted as much of an open concept as possible, Revollo used a small but impactful detail to designate each space: color. The kitchen is defined by black, the living areas by gray, and the outdoor space by honey.

Miller House Interior Bookshelf

The custom Douglas Fir bookshelf echoes the angles of the office.

Chilean digital fabricators and design studio gt2p (Great Things to People) showed off their Cracked bookshelf system as part of their series inspired by the 2010 earthquake.

The self-supporting and extremely flexible bookshelf is made from 12 mm oak planks and uses 96 individual handmade pieces.

Fenestration was positioned to provide controlled views and light while screening neighboring houses.

The delicately redesigned living room maximizes natural light, using bright furnishings to maintain the room's newfound brightness. The Stuc Pierre plaster ceiling and walls and the Venetian Plaster at the fireplace put in place by the homeowner, Sloan Houser, refresh and integrate the spaces of the Houser home.

Michael picked out these surround tiles long before he knew how the room would come together. Looking at the intricate detail, you can’t help but think of spindling river currents or the way tree roots meander around solid stones in the soil.
