The home is one of 34 identical workers’ cottages lining a lush central courtyard. Cloistered from street traffic by iron gates at either end, the row houses feature paired arched doorways under Gothic gables, decorative brickwork, and delicate wrought iron over windows and doors.
The design team retained the old supports, which now frame the kitchen. Jessica picked DeVol cabinets and systems for their traditional-meets-streamlined style.
The renovation kept the footprint, but with a fresh coat of paint, new flooring, storage, and a chaise, it's a comfortable place to welcome guests.
