Situated near Lanzarote’s northern end, Famara is a seaside town famous for its remote beach, which draws surfers and their vans. Following the coastline, you’ll see El Risco—desolate, rocky cliffs that slope from the island’s elevated interior like a rugged mountainside.

“The round shapes are reminiscent of Manrique’s circular windows, but Alexander did his own thing with the house,” says Luc. “For example, the bathroom windows have shutters that turn with the wind. That’s typical Alexander.” The wall cleats come from a sailing shop, and the black Roca faucets add a touch of drama while evoking Lanzarote’s inky, volcanic terrain. The color palette is pure Manrique—and Lanzarote.
