“I’ve always been crazy about tile,” says Jessy, which is why she was heartbroken when she found the 1961 powder blue tile in the master bathroom had been scribbled on with permanent marker. “Turn right for cold water. Turn left for hot,” the wall read. The new tile is by Ann Sacks. “We tried to source products that looked appropriate for the period,” Jessy explains.

Floral tiles bring pattern and a peaceful color palette to this bathroom.

In the skylit master bathroom, Dandelion tile from Marrakech Design is paired with tile from Ann Sacks. The fixtures are by California Faucets and the mirror is from Paris Mirrors.

A homeowner’s love for Santorini, Greece, became the inspiration for her master bathroom’s tranquil upgrade.

Like the kitchen and the bedroom, the bath is outfitted in a palette of gray and white.

The old tub was updated with new tile, including floor tile from Cle.

A walnut vanity is topped with a Silestone White Zeus quartz counter. The pendant lights framing the mirror are from Cedar & Moss and the wallpaper is from Heath Ceramics + Hygge & West. “We decided to add in some pops of color and pattern in the kids' bathroom with the bright tile, and then the master bathroom with that cool wallpaper,” says Foken.

The guest bathroom features bright turquoise Arcilla Field tiles by Ann Sacks and brass fixtures and fittings that will develop a patina over time. A skylight above the shower provides natural light and brightens the room.

The large master bathroom on the first floor of the main house features a freestanding tub with ocean and forest views.

The custom white oak vanity was given the same treatment as the storage in the family room.

Popham Design supplied the tiles in the bathrooms, were Gebhardt chose to incorporate more color.
