In the powder bathroom, bespoke Calico wallpaper can be seen in the mirror, which is set against a backdrop of green Cle tile. “That’s our Miami experience,” says Kristi.

The kitchen is a balance of woods and stone, with marble on the large island and Naica quartzite in a leathered finish on the perimeter counters and backsplash. The stove hood is a custom plaster finish: “I was constantly looking for ways to add softness,” says interior designer Holly Waterfield.

Just inside the entry is a door to the ultimate mudroom for handling post surf sessions, with heated concrete floors and a built-in drain, to hose off sandy feet and boards, and store them. The rug is from Serena & Lily.

Polished concrete floors continue into the bedroom, complete with a large soaking tub and views of the iconic Capitol Records building.

Archway details continue into bathroom where stone floors, a custom vanity, built-in shelving, and a large tadelakt soaking tub await.

Heath tiles were used in the primary bathroom, and unlacquered brass fixtures from Watermark continue the theme.

The rear of the home had been complicated by many additions. Davis streamlined the space as one adjoining kitchen, living room, dining room, and lower sunroom.

Jen was adamant about having dark wood floors, which are used throughout the home to either contrast or coordinate with the neutral palette.

Headers were installed above the dining room and kitchen to provide some degree of delineation between the two "rooms."

The lower sunroom off the kitchen can be used during San Francisco's rainier days, and be opened on sunnier ones. The owners decided to add the disappearing doors during the pandemic, so they could still entertain safely.

The “ninja room” was fitted out by a local climbing wall installer and an American Ninja Warrior gym. A floor window beneath the living room coffee table offers a view into the gym.
